Pieces from the past

G

eorgetown ISD has been collect-

ing items from its past and will

showcase themduring the Cen-

tennial year.

Many items were donated or

loaned, and people can still drop off

their GISDmemorabilia at the adminis-

tration office, 603 Lakeway, where

the items are on display.

The district welcomes old photo-

graphs, class rings, diplomas and jack-

ets.

Each sheds some light on how life

was like for students during different

eras in the district’s history, like a

senior class will from 1921, where stu-

dents wrote prophecies on

their classmates. Here are

some other items the

district has collected.
