What started with four Central Montana friends in 1987

has blossomed into a booming sustainable agriculture

business.

Established on David Oien’s farm, Timeless Seeds, Inc. is

now an internationally known business operating out of a

seed processing facility in Ulm (southwest of Great Falls).

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Timeless processes and

distributes organic lentils, peas, chickpeas and heirloom

grains while staying committed to “sustainable agriculture,

good health and the local community.”

Wanting to “introduce a new crop to farmers in the

Northern Great Plains,” Timeless started small. But it didn’t

take long for organic farming to become a popular alternative

for farmers worldwide.

Fortunately for Timeless CEO Oien and the organic

farmers of Central Montana, organic foods also became a

popular alternative for consumers.

“We’ve had this market niche a long time, and we’ve been

watching it grow increasingly year by year,” said Oien, a third-

generation Montanan. “We were pleased to see it mushroom

into the food market.”
