BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOV- ERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF EUREKA, KANSAS: SECTION 1. No person shall sell at retail any alcoholic liquor: (a) Pursuant to K.S.A. 41-2704 and K.S.A. 41712 the sale at retail of alcoholic liquor and cereal malt beverage in the original package is allowed within the city limits on any Sunday, except Easter, be- tween the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., and on Memorial Day, independence Day and Labor Day; (b) On Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day; or (c) Before 9:00 a.m. or after 11:00 p.m. on any day when the sale there of is permitted. SECTION 2. Ordinance no. 4251 of the City of Eureka, Passed on April 22, 2019 is hereby re- pealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once each week for two consecutive weeks in the of cial city newspaper. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect 61 days after - nal publication, unless a suf cient petition for a referendum is led, requiring a referendum to be held on the ordinance as provided in K.S.A. 41-2911, in which case this ordinance shall become effective upon approval by a majority of the electors voting thereon.
