The Department of Health has

an opening for an Environmen-

tal Specialist I, position number

64058543. Annual Salary range

is $30,988.62 - $42,782.94.

This is a professional position

in which the employee per-

forms a variety of technical and

skilled duties primarily conduct-

ing inspections in the OSTDS

program, as specified in the

rules of the Florida Department

of Health and other state and

local rules, regulations and or-

dinances. This position is in

Columbia County, and is part of

a multi county program to in-

clude Bradford, Hamilton, and

Union Counties. The employee

must be able to keep accurate,

timely records, maintain re-

quired continuing education

credits and training, perform

field work requiring moderate

physical effort in varied weather

conditions both independently

and in a team environment.

Other duties may be assigned

by the supervisor as needed to

meet public health needs in the

community. An automobile is

required in the performances in

the duties of this position. This

is a full-time Career Service po-

sition with hours Monday-Fri-

day 8am-5pm. Benefits in-

cludes Florida State Retire-

ment, health insurance, paid

holidays and annual and sick

leave. Must have a Bachelor of

Science degree in a natural or

physical science. Must have a

valid Florida driver's license.

Must be willing to work outside

all day if needed. Must be will-

ing to drive personal vehicle

when representing the Depart-

ment when needed; will be re-

imbursed at the state rate for

mileage when this occurs.

adoption of a resolution electing

to use the uniform method of

collecting such assessments as

authorized by Section

197.3632, Florida Statutes, at a

public hearing to be held at

2:00 p.m., EST, December 7,

2017, at the Town of Mangonia

Park Municipal Center located

at 1755 East Tiffany Drive,

Mangonia Park, Florida 33407.

Such resolution will state the

need for the levy and will con-

tain a legal description of the

boundaries of the real property

that may be subject to the levy.
